It’s one of the most established dinner-show formats in Cancun, and the Latin energy of the performance matches the menu: ceviches, tiraditos, premium cuts, and fresh seafood from across Latin America. The atmosphere gets progressively louder and more festive as the night goes on: dinner at the start, something closer to a party by the end.

Beautiful venue, great entertainment — but not premium steakhouse quality at premium prices. We visited Rosa Negra for a date night on July 4th while traveling from Toronto, and it was a fun evening overall. The venue is stunning and the entertainment alone is worth experiencing — it genuinely made the night. The food was delicious, but let's be clear: this is not a premium steakhouse. The steaks are good, not exceptional, yet you're paying top-tier prices. Our bill came to $410 USD plus tip, which felt steep for the quality of food and drinks we received. You're really paying for the atmosphere and the show, not the plate. One thing worth knowing for wine drinkers: the wine list doesn't specify vintages alongside the prices, so ordering a bottle becomes a guessing game. We ended up skipping wine altogether because of it — a frustrating oversight at this price point. Service was a mixed bag — our waiter disappeared for a solid 30 minutes at one point, though the entertainment helped soften the frustration. Would I return? Yes — but for appetizers, drinks, and the entertainment. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a full dinner again. Come for the experience, manage your expectations on the food.
The drinks here were all delicious. The appetizer were good and easy to share with the whole table. One of the salads was massive and absolutely could be split by 2-3 people. My husband got the Filet risotto and said it was delicious. I got the Kobe steak and it was the best steak I’ve ever had! The preparation of the Kobe steak at the table was really cool! Only thing I’ll say is, the price was extremely high for this Kobe steak. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food and the service was great. We also tried the dessert flight to share with the table and it was good too. We tried Rosa Negra in Cabo two years ago and absolutely had to try it in Cancun while we were there. It was still delicious, but the Cabo location was better. I also believe we went a little too early as the entertainment and fun stuff was all happening as we were leaving.
Came here to treat myself on a solo trip and to say the experience was nothing short of amazing. Rubin’s (my waiter) and cielos (hookah girl) were so sweet and amazing. The food was delicious, so upset I didn’t have room to fit more! The fire show was phenomenal. I also got to enjoy the World Cup game live on the big screen they had for the event. All so unexpected. Rubin was kind enough to offer his expertise on what to get. I ordered the New York steak and lychee martini 10’s across the board! To top off my 1st (of many) experience I was gifted desert by him at the end of the night. This was such a great experience I can’t wait to recommend and share it with others. Second time coming here and even better than I remember the first time!! Came with my boys for my bachelor party the first time. Second time with my wife and she loved every second of it! We got the fillet and Flank Steak with sides of crispy and mashed potatoes. Absolute bangers. For starters we got the empanadas, guac and mini burgers. Again all bangers!!! With one alcoholic drink and 2 refills of still water it was around $300 USD. With conversion to Canadian it’s more than we’d usually spend but worth every penny!!! Will be back next time we’re in Cancun 🫡 Also, the fire shows and the atmosphere in here is electric!! Come here for a nice show while you eat! Shoutout Omar for making the night extra special.
The food was amazing. Definitely on the pricey side but all in all it was great. We started with grilled octopus and the tacos both were delicious! The atmosphere of the place is beautiful on the water and songs and performances. Quality of the meats is definitely up there. Service was great too. 9/10 restaurant!
