💯💯 Here is the honest take 🫰🫰 This is a really unique experience—part show, part luxury night out—but not perfect. We did the priority seating with canapés, which came with champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Both were actually really good and set the tone for the night. The show itself? Visually stunning. The talent is insane. Every performer is ridiculously skilled, and some of the acts genuinely had us sitting there like “how is that even possible?” That said… the storyline is kind of confusing. It follows an alchemist and a mystical journey, but it is not very clear unless you already know that going in. Highlights for us: The synchronized duo in white—easily one of the coolest acts The alchemist character was hilarious and had us laughing out loud The aerial and balancing acts were beautiful and incredibly precise The theatre is stunning—built into the jungle and feels intimate compared to other Cirque shows. Now… something people should know: You are required to arrive early, and on the way in you are essentially funneled through what felt like a massive tourist trap—a very low-quality bar area with an extremely loud and not-great live vocalist. It honestly felt completely out of place compared to the premium experience you are paying for and kind of killed the vibe before the show even started. Downsides: Confusing storyline Expensive Pre-show experience feels cheap and forced Not as high-energy as some other Cirque shows Final thoughts: I would still recommend it if you want a unique night out and appreciate performance art. Just go in for the visuals and talent—not the story—and be prepared for a bit of a strange lead-up before the show.
We really enjoyed the experience. We had great seats and did not have to pay for dinner. We arrived with lots of time to spare and visited a bit the property before making it inside the venue. The whole show was amazing as most shows put by Cirque du Soleil are. There is an nice thread across the entire site. All segments are wonderful, my favourite is one the one with the for fellows in the trampoline that comes near the end.
This was our first Cirque De Soleil and will not be our last. From the very beginning it was an impressively immersive environment and the show itself did not disappoint. The story was easy to follow, with the dialogue effortlessly going between Spanish and English in such a way that neither language felt secondary or like a translation of the previous. The performers were absolutely beyond talented creating some truly memorable moments. This experience was something we will not forget and would highly recommend to anyone in the area.
The show was amazing. The acrobats, the band all top notch fantastic and breathtaking. The official transport was pure chaos with instructions on how to find them at the end given to us just as we were disembarking. The van was also unable to handle speed bumps and gravel track used as drive ways at the hotels or visited. The waiters continuing to serve as the show started is distracting and typical of the attitude of the organisers attempting to monetise every square inch and every minute of the experience.

How do I get to JOYÀ?
JOYÀ is located at Vidanta Riviera Maya, approximately 35 minutes from Cancun. Access is through the Vidanta resort entrance, and internal transfer time may be required.
On-site parking is available at Vidanta for guests arriving by car.
Private transportation is highly recommended. We can arrange round-trip private transportation for a smooth and stress-free evening.
What is the minimum age at JOYÀ?
JOYÀ welcomes guests of 3 years and older. Children (3 to 11 years) receive special pricing depending on the experience selected. Please note that there are no baby chairs or booster seats available. Children are assigned a regular seat.
Are tables private or shared at JOYÀ?
JOYÀ offers 2-seat tables, 4-seat tables, and exclusive 10-seat VIP tables.
Unless the entire table is purchased, seating may be shared with other guests. For example, if you reserve two seats at a four-person table, the remaining seats may be assigned to other attendees.
Guests have the option to select their preferred table and seats, subject to availability. A seating map is provided, and once availability is confirmed, you may choose your desired table (for example, “Seat A7”) and specific seats.
For a fully private experience, we recommend reserving the entire table.
How long is the JOYÀ experience?
The show itself lasts approximately 80 minutes.
For guests booking the Show & Dinner or VIP Show & Dinner Experience, the full evening typically lasts 2.5 to 3 hours. It is recommended to arrive one hour before showtime to fully enjoy the dining experience without rushing. The VIP ticket also includes a welcome cocktail.
