Coco Bongo isn’t really a night club. It’s a four-hour live show built around an open bar. Sitting in the heart of Cancun’s Hotel Zone, one block from the Caribbean, it’s the venue CNN said “puts Vegas nightlife to shame,” and that reputation has made it one of the most famous nights out in Mexico.
The night brings the biggest names in music and film back to the stage (Queen, Michael Jackson, Spider-Man, and dozens more), performed by dancers and acrobats flying above the crowd, with giant screens and confetti turning the whole room into part of the show. Between each set the DJ takes over and the entire place becomes one massive dance floor. It doesn’t slow down for four hours.

Coco Bongo Cancun was one of the highlights of my trip and is an absolute must if you’re visiting Cancun. The energy from the moment you walk in is incredible. Between the live performances, acrobatics, music, lights, and special effects, there’s never a dull moment. It’s much more than just a nightclub—it’s a full entertainment show. The atmosphere is amazing, and the crowd is always engaged, singing, dancing, and having a great time. The performers put on an incredible show, and the production quality is honestly impressive from start to finish. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, on vacation with friends, or just looking for an unforgettable night out, Coco Bongo delivers. It’s one of those experiences that’s hard to describe until you see it for yourself. If you’re in Cancun, don’t skip Coco Bongo. I can almost guarantee you’ll have an amazing time and leave with some unforgettable memories. I would absolutely go back on my next trip.
We celebrated my husband’s 50th and my nieces 18th birthday, in April 2026. We had an amazing time! We had a group of 40 people that went to Coco Bongo. You’re paying for the ambience, music, and drinks. We had a night full of dancing and laughter.. I worked with Luis who helped me put together my parties package, transportation from our hotel, and he met us in front of Coco Bongo, made sure we got in and taken care of. When we sat inside the club Mauricio was our server and he made sure we were taken care of. Mauricio made sure our birthday crew was celebrated, center of attention, and even got them a birthday shot in front of everyone. We had such an amazing time! Highly recommend for good vibes and overall good time, but also recommend getting the VIP GOLD MEMBER Packet it’s worth it!
Not sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t this. Good points the people who were in the show were amazing and must work so hard to do the show well done all of you. The service was really good and didn’t wait long in between drinks tipping helped. We were sat having purchased the gold package and we were really packed in next to each other on bar stools with very little room to move. Being of a certain age (62) I felt this kind of show was more suited to a 18 to 30 club atmosphere 😩 There’s only so much you can take watching girls twerking on the big screen and taking shots down their throats 🫣 Would I go again the answer is no but glad I experienced it but never again.🫣

What is the vibe at Coco Bongo?
A Broadway-style live show with a night club built around it. Acrobats fly overhead on silks and bungees, impersonators of every pop icon you can name take the stage, drumlines parade through, and confetti cannons fire on the chorus. Between shows, the resident DJ keeps the room dancing. Four hours of non-stop production, then the dance floor takes over until 3 AM.
What is the dress code?
Smart casual night club attire. No swimwear, sports jerseys, athletic shorts, flip-flops or caps. Men need closed shoes.
What music is played?
Pop, dance, rock, reggaeton, Latin hits and crowd-pleasing throwbacks, chosen to soundtrack the show. Between live performances, the resident DJ runs the room. Not the venue for underground electronic. Come for the spectacle, not the deep cuts.
What is the minimum age?
18+. Government-issued photo ID may be required at the door.
What is the discount on transportation when I book a private table?
4 USD per person for the round trip to Coco Bongo.
What payment methods are accepted?
You pay online by card, through a secure payment link from the venue, and at the venue in cash or by card. Online charges are processed in Mexican pesos.
