Modern Japanese for a grown-up night out. A sleek, low-lit room built around an open sushi bar and a roaring robatayaki grill: cold dishes from the itamae, hot dishes from the robata, signature rolls, tempura and Wagyu, paired with sake by the glass or bottle and Japanese whiskies such as Hibiki, Yamazaki 12 and Hakushu 12.
Dark wood, soft jazz at the start of the night, a DJ once the room fills. Refined where its sister restaurants are loud, but the same showmanship runs under the surface.

The restaurant is gorgeous with amazing views of the lagoon. I loved the ambiance and the servers/staff. We ordered the sashimi platter and it was a little underwhelming. The fish quality was good but it is way too expensive for that amount of food. I didn’t mind much because of their service and attention to details. Maybe will order something else next time.
Our server, Ricardo and the entire crew was more than accommodating for our two young children and made our experience as seamless as possible, despite the circumstances with the children. The food was excellent, and the ambience and service were top-notch. Would recommend it and would go again on my next trip to Cancun.
Delicious food - the nigiri and rolls were fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is fun with party music and a fire show the night we were there, great energy. Lazaro and Juan were attentive and made sure we had an excellent evening. Great place, we will go again next time we’re in Cancun.

What is the vibe at Tora?
Refined modern Japanese. Sushi bar and robata grill, intimate lighting, jazz early, a DJ as the night builds. More date-night than dance-floor, but the energy lifts after 10 PM.
What is the dress code?
Elegant. No swimwear, athletic wear or beach attire. Think dressy resortwear: linen, flowy dresses, dressy sandals.

4 USD per person for the round trip to Tora.
What payment methods are accepted?
You pay at the venue, in cash or by card. If a deposit is needed, we send a secure payment link. The accepted cards and currencies are listed under Payment Options.
What is the cancellation policy?
Reservations without a deposit can be canceled at no cost before the reservation time. With a prepayment, cancel more than 10 days ahead and 10% of the group total is charged; from 10 days to 48 hours ahead, 50% of the group total is charged; within 48 hours, the prepayment is non-refundable.
